Reading Evening a Hit with Parents

OFF

Mrs Cunliffe’s Reading Evening was a hit with the parents who attended, with several really positive feedback comments. Here are a selection of a few…

“It has stressed the importance of the comprehension and understanding side of reading. Very useful to have the set of questions to ask after they read the book – it’s wonderful to know how much support the children are getting.”

“The evening has been useful and reinforced what we do at home…thank you for giving up your time to give us help to support our children.”

“All very helpful. All information was helpful to me and I will use the resources given this evening.”

“Useful to know how reading is taught at school. Also the questions with the AF handouts will help at home…also thanks to the children who showed us how things worked, very useful to have a student’s feedback.”

“I have found the evening to be helpful. Particularly the questions that we can ask during reading time.”

“Clarification in understanding the assessment of reading, the specific things that we as parents can do to help our children.”

“Better understanding. Most parents wish to help their children as much as possible so these evenings are good for my children in the long run. “

“Sophie (prefect) was brilliant! She explained Bug Club and could describe how reading worked.”
