What Christians believe – some pointers for families
· Temptation is something we all experience.
· The Bible speaks of a God who made us, understands us, and therefore knows what’s best for us. But we are tempted to think we know better.
· Jesus is genuinely tempted – by things that we are familiar with: living for ourselves, abusing our power, and worshiping things that simply can’t deliver what they promise.
· He proves himself able to resist, and that makes him both a worthy leader and (more in a few weeks) a perfect rescuer.
