PRIORY Risk Assessment March 2021

Updated 6th January 2021

This is an update for all parents. It contains information for those sending children to school and those of you who are home schooling.

All children who are eligible to attend have been logged on our system, so you can book places on Arbor. Mrs Hawkesworth has posted detailed instructions on Dojo. If you need to cancel any sessions please call or email the office. We will be calling any non-attending pupils who have booked to ensure safeguarding.

Whilst on school premises, we ask you to continue wearing face coverings, but we are removing the one way system for the time being.

The usual doors will be used for collection and drop off. The children will be in year groups rather than classes, so the class specific door may vary – this will be obvious to you as staff will be at the door.

We have slightly altered timings. They are as follows:

Nursery 9:00-3:00

Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 5 8:45-3:10

Year 4 and Year 6 8:50-3:15

Lunch arrangements are staying the same. Those of you who are entitled to free school meals, but are not sending your children to school, will receive vouchers or food parcels.

All Stars arrangements are also staying the same. They will operate in the same bubbles that school does to ensure safety. Please book and pay in the usual way, via Arbor.

Children in school will be in year group bubbles and home learning will mirror lessons in school.Teachers will be on a rota and either carrying out face to face teaching or overseeing home learning. It’s important that you see both the year group teachers as your child’s teacher during lockdown. Please feel free to contact them with any questions or concerns and they will support you in any way they can.

All pupils who are not attending school should complete home learning daily. This will be provided via Dojo. A class teacher from your child’s year group will provide a weekly overview which will include English, maths and the wider curriculum. Tasks will be set daily and you should upload any relevant work or evidence to your child’s individual portfolio.

We do hope that you are all well and managing to adjust to yet another change. If you need any help or support please contact us.
